The Chartreuse Library
A fitted library built into the living room of a period chartreuse, its shelves drawn on Georgian proportions and set against dark William Morris paper. White-painted French oak, polished brass knobs, and a pair of picture lights above a bookcase wide enough to hold a lifetime of reading.
The television sits in the centre niche, flanked by open shelves and four Shaker cupboards below. Everything is scribed to the plaster and the cornice, painted to match the walls, so the joinery reads as original to the house.
